Young Guardians of Accountability (YGA) is a dynamic civil society group dedicated to empowering youth in Nigeria to demand good governance and accountability from public officials. Our mission is to foster a culture of transparency, integrity, and active citizenship among young people. We engage in a variety of activities including community outreach, educational workshops, policy advocacy and social media campaigns. By raising awareness and providing tools for effective civic engagement, YGA aims to create a network of informed and proactive young leaders. Together, we strive to hold public officials accountable, ensuring that governance in Nigeria is both responsible and responsive to the needs of its citizens.
This is the first stage where we receive complaints from members and the general public.
After receiving reports or complaints, we are required to assess such reports to determine their validity.
After determining the validity of a report, we immediately begin the process of evidence gathering.
After evidence gathering, we usually write detailed petitions and address them to the appropriate authorities.
In order to achieve our aims and objective, we are required to follow up with the status of the petitions
If the authorities determines a case is ready for prosecution, we may be required to stand witness.

Our complaint channel pointed us in the direction of Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) so we ran a due process audit of the agencies however, we discovered some of its former directors were not only non-compliant but also contravened several sections of the Nigerian laws.

A cursory look at the Nigerian Defense front reveals that key individuals at the helms of the affairs of the nation's territorial integrity were suspected to have contravened vital laws. Since no man is above the laws of the land, we petitioned the Chief of Defense Logistics to the appropriate agencies. Updates: PENDING

We petitioned a few of the officials including the Accountant General of the Federation to the appropriate agencies. Status: PENDING.

The case of alleged gross misconduct, abuse of office and money laundering against Alhaji Sadiku Abdulkadir Rafindadi (former Director at Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN) petitioned to the House Committee on Public Petitions has been acknowledged and letters of invitation has been sent to the parties involved.
